Announcement Regarding the Education Method for the Fall Semester of 2020-2021

Dear Students,

Regarding our education method in the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year, we have made a series of decisions considering the pandemic conditions. During this process, we evaluated in numerous meetings with our units and relevant commissions in which departments and classes face-to-face education should and could take place. Our principle was to ensure the quality of education in practice-oriented departments and to enable face-to-face practice lessons in light of all health measures. In theory-oriented programs, we preferred the distance education method in line with the development course of the pandemic and the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

In this context, the decisions taken by our senate regarding the design of our education method in the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year are presented below for your information.

1. All courses of postgraduate education (master's, doctorate) will be conducted face-to-face,

2. The "practices" in the practice-oriented departments and classes specified below will be conducted face-to-face in branches with all health measures taken,

* The practice lessons in the relevant departments will be conducted face-to-face in reduced classes. The theoretical parts of the lessons in the same classes will be conducted through distance education.

3. All other associate and undergraduate level education and training will be conducted through distance education.

4. If needed, face-to-face supplementary education will be planned at the end of the semester or during the summer term, in line with the proposals of our academic units.

5. During the pandemic process, it has been decided that our university campuses will be open to all our students, provided that the HES code verification and social distancing rules are followed.

Detailed information regarding the processes will be provided in the coming days.

In addition to all these decisions, changes in the teaching method (distance, face-to-face) may be made depending on the course of the pandemic. Please know that our concerns about your health are our priority.
